About the AITC
The Australian Industry Trade College is an industry-driven senior school.
At the AITC, we help your young person find their passion and then pursue that career through a school-based apprenticeship or traineeship. Years 10, 11 and 12 students spend half their time completing their senior education at school and the remainder in industry. Our young people aim to attain a Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE) and an employment outcome in the industry of their choice by the time they graduate Year 12.
Our Redlands campus
Our Redlands campus is situated just a stone’s throw from the Stradbroke Island Ferry Terminal at 233 Middle St, Cleveland. For those young people with a license there is ample car parking at the rear of the college. Cleveland Train Station is approximately 1 km away and bike racks are provided for those who wish to ride to school.
Redlands campus opened in 2016 with a Year 10 cohort, and we have since expanded and now educate approximately 200 young people in Years 10 to 12 each year. The campus has everything your young person will need to complete their QCE while getting a start in industry.
The campus’ ample grounds provide space for our young people to take time to relax under the gumtrees, play a friendly game of basketball on the half court or have a quick game of ping pong at break times. There is also a large covered space, where we hold Roof Shouts and also where health and physical education classes are taught by our dedicated personal trainer!
