Raising funds for critically poor families in Cambodia

The AITC  program includes an extracurricular International Service Project every two years where our young people can travel to Cambodia with a team of staff and complete projects in conjunction with the non-government charity, New Hope Cambodia. This enables the young people to use their technical talents to improve the lives of critically poor families, as well as exposing them to the benefits of providing help to those less fortunate.

We encourage the young people to fundraise as individuals and in a group and set achievable targets along the way. Each young person is expected to raise as much as possible to help purchase the raw materials necessary for the projects which this year include:

  • Creation of a Trade Training Centre
  • Maintenance of the New Hope facilities
  • Construction of two houses for local families

In past projects, we have raised more than $40,000 per year and hope to match this or exceed it by the time we leave for Cambodia in September  2017. Or motto is “I’m In!”, and we can’t wait to help to make a difference in Cambodian families’ lives!
